Been accused of is giving up easily. đ
My son has a similar persistence and, as a parent, itâs a huge pain in the assâŚbut as an adultâitâs powerful.
Whatâs shocking to me, honestly, is how easily most people do give up. They try like one, maybe two things, and then are like, well, thatâs not working, guess it just wonât.
What?!
How do you let it go? I canât. Could never, in fact.Â
And I donât even have to want the thing that much. But giving up, no. No.
Itâs possible I have this persistence for things I do wantâno matter how small the urgeâbecause I donât go after things I donât want.
I will DNF a book page 2 or 200. If I donât want to keep reading, I donât. I could, easily. Finishing a book is not a particularly arduous pursuit, but if I donât want to finish the story, I just donât.
Which makes total sense. I donât know why people push themselves to finish books they hate. What are you doing with your life? đ
Maybe not pushing myself to do s**t I donât want to leaves room for me to go after the things I actually want.
I donât knowâŚmaybe Iâm just a born pain in the ass. đ
