Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday.

I love a gathering that’s all about food and gratitude. I’m lucky I don’t have any creepy uncles or people whose politics I violently disagree with at my table, so our Thanksgivings are historically drama and trauma free.
Of course, the true history of Thanksgiving is not as pretty as my celebration of it. But to be clear, I’m not celebrating the myth about the Pilgrims and Native Americans feasting. I’m celebrating gratitude.
Thanksgiving, for me, is about being thankful—which I’m super into.
As a part of my writing ritual, I write a short gratitude list over my morning coffee. Coffee is number 1 about 50% of the time. 😂 I feel very grateful for my coffee first thing in the morning.
I also feel very thankful for you, my readers. Whether you just started reading my books, are one of the amazing humans who rereads them, or anywhere in between, I am deeply grateful for your time and attention.
This world is kind of a crazy shit storm and has been for some time. I appreciate that with everything coming at you, my work has a place in your life. Thank you for giving a fuck about me and my books. I truly appreciate it. Whether you celebrate Thanksgiving or not, I’m grateful for you today and everyday.
