I keep watching these reels of trad wives who think feminism is a problem and that feminist are out here judging and hating on stay-at-home moms. đ
And the reason I keep watching them is because about half of the Reels are actually other stay-at-home moms making fun of these dumbasses who donât understandâŠwell...a lot. đ
So I end up watching all of them because I need to figure out whether itâs satire. Which means my entire feed is basically women in long dresses, baking, and talking about how they need a man. And half of them are serious. đ
For the record: Feminism means we all get to choose.
Babes, just do you. Itâs cool.
As long as you donât join the evil empire and fight to make it easier to press the boot on our neckâwe donât give a f*** what you do with your bad self.
And the only reason itâs not okay to vote for the boot is because itâs not just your neckâitâs every womanâs neck. All of us.
You think we think: you shouldnât stay home.
You think we think: you should do what weâre doing.
You think we think: about you.
But, seriously, we donât.
We donât care what you doâjust leave us out of your asphyxiation kink. Enjoy the boot in the privacy of your own home. No kink shame. Weâre just not into it.
The problem is, when you insist the boot is not there, or that the ârealâ issue is other womenâs opinions about your love of the boot.
No one on our side is denigrating stay-at-home moms. Our policies are pro mother and child. Free lunch is our thing. Mandating insurance coverage for OB-GYN visits and childbirth? Thatâs Obamacare. Remember when pregnancy was a pre-existing condition? No? Shocker.
Seriouslyâwe want to raise the minimum wage and make healthcare universal so that employers have less power over workers and allow more freedom of choice. Which would make single working parent households more viable.
We want paternity leave so your husband can stay home and enjoy the newborn stage too. We know the climate crisis is real and are fighting hard to limit the catastrophic damage so your kids have a healthy planet to live on.
We want everyoneâincluding youâto have beautiful lives and families. For real.
We also want that for ourselves. Feminism isnât a mandate to be a boss bitch. Itâs a philosophy that says women should have the freedom to choose their own path, just like you have.
Feminist are not persecuting youâitâs the patriarchy.
Maybe you think the videos making fun of you are persecution, but theyâre not. Creating laws that make your life harder? Thatâs persecution.
Making fun of ass-backward ideas is how smart people cope with how destructive they are. Why do you even care what a bunch of boss b*****s think of you, as long as they keep voting for policies that feed kids? How did they convince you THAT is the bad thing? đ
Women canât even speak in public in Afghanistan, and you think feminism is the problem? Itâs enough to make anyone who isnât a lapdog of the patriarchy insaneâor enraged. Or both!
I know a lot of people agree with me. Iâm not the only person feeling stabby đȘthese days. Trust me, I see you. I am you. đ
Thatâs why I write violent feminist vigilante thrillers. My Sydney Rye Mysteries are cathartic AF if youâve ever wanted toâŠ
đ Open hand slap someone whose convinced feminism is âtheâ problem
đ„ Beat an incel with a metal pipe
đ
Or strangle a đist politician who shouldnât have control over his own đ, let alone a nation
You know, totally normal and acceptable thoughts to be having during this completely f****d time. If youâre aware enough to understand that someone not choosing the same things as you doesnât mean they are persecuting you, then I recommend my Sydney Rye novels to deal with our current reality.
Sydney Rye and her dog, Blue, exact justice with a vengeance. The dog doesnât die, but the bad guys do. And itâs the only thing keeping some of us from assault charges right now. đđ€Șđ
